Probiotic Bokashi is cultured using industry leading SCD Probiotics Technology. The Probiotic Inoculants used in the fermentation process consists of 14 distinct beneficial microbes for greater biodiversity. The “consortium “ of good microbes working together in your food waste composter and in your soil releases enzymes, vitamins, minerals and other micro nutrients that are Probiotic or “life generating”. Your soil and the plants that grow in it find more bioavailable nutrients because of the work of these good microbes.
As a bonus – many studies show that the lactic acid microbes suppress E.Coli, Salmonella and many other pathogens and therefore, making Probiotic Bokashi Composting a pathogenic-free and hazardous-free Organic Probiotic Inoculant.
Bokashi is a Japanese word that means "fermented organic matter." It can be used as a soil amendment to increase the nutrient level and microbial diversity of the soil for planting.

Household Applications

In a kitchen compost bucket, sprinkle
Probiotic Bokashi™ directly on top of kitchen food waste and close the lid. It is very important to cover the entire surface of food waste with Probiotic Bokashi™. When added, Probiotic Bokashi™ will begin a fermentation process that will neutralize odors, increase the mineral content and prepare food waste to become high quality compost. Repeat the process, until the bucket is full.

Probiotic Bokashi™ can also be sprinkled in house plants one or two times per month.

  • When applied to your kitchen food waste the Bokashi begins a process of fermentation which is a superior way to begin the composting process. More organic nutrients are preserved with less green house gases and carbon released. The process completes when the fermented food waste (looks like pickled food waste not compost!) is added back to the soil and the soil based microbes finish the process to produce really great growth stimulating and microbial substrate.
